A special whisky we've had for quite some time, this is Benriach finished in a single Australian Pedro Ximenez cask.
Don't get us wrong we love all styles of sherry but there's a whole world out there and the Aussies make incredible fortified wines.
The results combine what you might expect from a classic Spanish Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask, but with bright red berry fruit notes. There's redcurrant and ribena, followed by dried fruit and spice. The palate combines malt biscuits, white pepper, white chocolate, a fresh green note, almost alpine then strawberry and vanilla pod.
